A short while ago your webmaster
made the trek to Tom's River, New Jersey, to view the works
of one of the most prolific and accurate combat artists of
modern time. What a delight to discover that not only is this
place his museum, but it is also his studio! The man, and
his wife, both very friendly and gracious people, were all
too delighted to visit with us and talk about all manner of
things - including the Marine Corps.
I highly recommend a visit to 70 Washington
Street, Tom's River, NJ

home of the museum of

As all who read this must be fully aware,
the old addage of "Once a Marine, always a Marine"
is absolutely true. General Lejeune was also aware of this
back before most of us were born, and formed the Marine
Corps League, later chartered by Congress. The beauty
of this organization is that , unlike the AL or VFW (both
fine organizations in their own rights), the MCL is vertical
in time. That is, we span all of the years - not just certain
wars or wartime periods. A Marine who served in peacetime
between the wars is just as welcome as a Marine of the Chosen
Few. Corpsmen who served in FMS are considered as much a Marine
as "the Old Gunny" too.
Although it is fun to see and visit with our own MACS-8 buddies,
it can be fun - and useful - to become active again with Marines
from all times and MOS's in our own local states and communities.
Some of us are, or have been, active in the League. The ones
I know of are:
