On Sunday, September 19, 2010 Pearl Cantrell, wife of Frank Cantrell, passed away in Gallatin, TN.

About Us
It has been well over 30 years since we served
together. Over the last 10+ years the "roundup"
has been gathering momentum.
We are not a charity, nor are we a veterans'
group (e.g. VFW, AL, or MCL). We are simply former members
of Marine Aircraft Control Squadron Eight.
We are not organized into some sort of structure,
although Tommy Redus and Tom Asbjornsen have accomplished
a lot in getting it (and us) all together.
As the front page states it, if you were ever
a member of the squadron, married or otherwise related to
someone who was, or are interested in the unit and its people,
then you are in the right place!

We are currently aware of about 260 former members
of the squadron
( of whom about 45 are now on duty with "Sky
6").
We have this information, and are willing to share
it with bonafide former members
for non-commercial purposes.
All requests will be screened by the data keeper (webmaster),
and justification for the request must be made.
If approved, the requested information will be sent
to the requestor by email.
If not approved, a note to that effect will be sent.

| To generate and send a request, do the following: |
1. Show an abbreviated roster to
select from by clicking on the book
|
2. Select a name (or names) to check on
|
3. Click on "webmaster" on
the left column of this page to bring up your email
software.
|
4. Request information on anyone
whose name you see in the list from step 1 above
|
5. Use the text area of your message
to explain who you are, why you want this information,
and your intended purpose with it.
|
6. Send your email request using
your email software.
|
| We will try to respond within the week, unless we are
out on a trip (like a reunion or the holidays), in which
case response will be as soon as practicable after returning. |
